Treadmill Trek

This morning, during the time I usually allow for reading blogs, I went to the fitness center. It's just down the hall from the library so distance and convenience aren't good excuses not to go. I walked. Boy am I slow. I used to walk between 3.5-4.0 mph. This morning 2.1 was pushing it. I felt unsteady. I haven't done much exercise walking since my accident last fall and the lack of movement really shows. I'm proud though because I did something toward getting better. I felt good when I got off. I think it's better to do something than do nothing. Progress not perfection...

  2. You said it yourself, something is definitely better than nothing! Unfortunately, not every workout will be our best workout. I'm loving reading the blog by the way!

  3. That's great! Most people refuse to even step into fitness centers. Walking has great benefits to your health :)

  4. Slow and steady wins the race. There is no point in pushing yourself and causing an injury. Keep it slow and slowly move up each week. You will soon get your endurance back.

  5. it's always better to do something rather than nothing - definitely. I have to remember that on my off days, too.
